The terms for buying and using Dear Darling
Last updated October 2026These terms apply when you use deardarlinghq.com or buy from Dear Darling HQ, based in Texas, United States. By buying or using the site, you agree to them.
What we offer
- Guides: digital guidebooks you read on this site, in your own account, for one year from the day you buy
- Advisory: one-to-one sessions and a written proposal for your wedding, as described when you book
- My Wedding: an online planning tool for your wedding, used as it is today
- Stories and tools: free to read and use
Our advice
Everything we share comes from brides' real experiences and our own judgment. It's guidance, not a guarantee. Vendors, prices and availability change, so check details with vendors before you book. We aren't responsible for what a vendor does or doesn't deliver.
No commissions
We don't take commissions or referral fees from vendors, and vendors can't pay to be featured. If that ever changes, we'll say so clearly on the site.
Paying
Prices are shown in US dollars. Payment is taken by Stripe when you buy. Advisory is priced for each couple. We agree the price and when it's paid with you in writing before you pay anything.
Using the guides
When you buy a guide, we give you a personal license to read it on Dear Darling, in your own account, for one year from the day you buy. Within that year you can read it as often as you like, on any of your devices.
- Yours to use: your account and your guide are for you. You can talk about what you learn with the people planning your wedding with you, and with your vendors
- Please don't: share your sign-in, copy or screenshot the guide to pass on, post it or any part of it online, sell or give it to anyone, or use it to train or feed an AI tool or any other service
- If it's misused: we can close an account that shares or copies guides, without a refund
- After the year: your access ends. We'll tell you before it does, and you can buy a new year if you'd like
- Ownership: we own the guides and everything on this site. Buying a guide gives you the right to read it, not to own or reuse it
My Wedding and what you share
You own what you put in My Wedding. You give us permission to store and show it to you and to the people you invite. Keep your sign-in details private. We may remove content that is unlawful or abusive.
Stories and reviews are published only with your agreement. Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience.
Limits
We do our best to keep the site and planner working and accurate, but we can't promise they will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, United States. If you live in the UK or EU, you keep the protections of your local consumer law.
